Recent Connections
Who connected to your computers, and when
Sessions on the machines enrolled to this account, newest first — including ones you didn't start, which is the whole reason to read it. Nothing can reach a machine without this server brokering the session, so nothing gets in unrecorded. The last 40 sessions per machine are kept and older rows are pushed off as new ones arrive, so check this while it still matters rather than months later.
What passes through the server
Screen sharing between computers is encrypted end to end by WebRTC (DTLS-SRTP). When the two ends can reach each other it goes straight across and the server only brokers the introduction — those rows read Direct. When they can't (strict NAT, mobile networks), the encrypted stream is relayed by the server, which forwards it without holding the keys to it — those rows read Relayed.
Peek is not that. The still frames behind Peek — including the picture of the machine on the Computers tab — are captured by the machine and passed through the server to your browser as ordinary images. The server handles those pixels.
Sharing a screen from an iPhone or iPad is different again. Apple's App Store rules keep the WebRTC library out of the iOS app, so that video can't use the encrypted path above at all: it reaches the server as ordinary video frames and is passed on to the viewer. The server handles those pixels, the way it does with Peek — so these sessions are not end-to-end encrypted, and they don't get a Direct or Relayed badge, because neither word would be true of them.

Want a better remote connection? Optional Tailscale setup
Install Tailscale on both devices and sign in to the same Tailscale network. Use your own account and follow your organization's access rules. This can help your computers reach each other, but aRDee works without it.
Once both devices are connected, return to your aRDee session. Open More → Stream Health → Improve your connection and choose Check connection. That checks the route actually being used; opening the download page alone does not install or connect either device.
Tailscale can also use a relay, so it does not guarantee a direct or faster connection. aRDee keeps its relay fallback available.
Install aRDee
Sign in with this account after installing — the device then appears under Computers for unattended access, whether or not anyone is sitting at it. One limit worth knowing up front: a Mac parked at the macOS lock or login screen can't be reached, because nothing is allowed to type into that screen but a person. It has to be unlocked before you can drive it.
Unzip and drag aRDee to Applications, then open it. Signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens without security warnings.
Run aRDee-Setup.exe. It installs for your user only, so it never asks for admin rights. This build isn’t code-signed yet, so Windows will show “Windows protected your PC” — choose More info → Run anyway.
Installed through TestFlight while it is in testing — open the invitation on the device itself. It views and controls your computers, and can share its own screen; an iPhone or iPad can never be controlled, because Apple provides no way to type into one remotely.
In testing. Open the APK on your Android phone or tablet and allow installation from this source if Android asks. The app checks the signed update feed when you launch it and also includes a manual Check for updates button.
GX10 preview. For Ubuntu or NVIDIA DGX OS on ARM64. Install the Debian package, then run ardee-linux enroll. Full mouse and keyboard control needs an X11/Xorg desktop session; Wayland is not supported yet. Prefer a portable file instead? Download the AppImage.
Release history
A Mac, PC, or Linux computer running an old version shows an Update button under Computers, so you can update it without walking over. Android checks for its own signed updates at launch; Apple delivers iPhone and iPad builds through TestFlight.

Settings
AI Assist
Ask an AI about what's on a remote screen during a session (the 💡 button in the viewer). Bring your own API key — usage is billed to you directly by the provider, typically a cent or two per question. Each question sends a still frame of that screen, along with what you typed, to the provider you pick here; leave this Off and nothing ever leaves.
Account
Change your password
Changing it signs out every other browser and app that was signed in as you; this tab stays signed in with a fresh session. Your computers stay enrolled — the app on each one holds its own device credential and keeps answering.
Connecting
This lived under Computers, next to the fleet tools — which is where you use it, not where you'd go to change it.
Two-factor authentication
A code from your phone, on top of your password. Your sign-in can open a session on any of your computers, so this is the lock worth having. Works with any authenticator app — Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy.
Sign out everywhere
Ends every signed-in session on every browser and phone, including this one — the thing to do if you've lost a laptop. Your computers stay enrolled and stay reachable once you sign in again.
Download my data
Everything this server holds about you, as one JSON file: your account, the computers enrolled to it, your connection history and your settings. Your password isn't in it: the server only ever keeps a hash, which can't be turned back into a password.
Delete my account
Deletes the account and every computer enrolled to it. aRDee stays installed on those computers but stops belonging to anyone: getting each one back means walking to it, opening the app and signing in again. There is no undo and no copy kept.
Your plan
Each pack covers 10 computers. Stack as many as you need — the count adds up.
Relay allowance
Most sessions go straight between the two machines and cost nothing. When your networks can't reach each other the server has to carry the traffic, and that is what counts here. Sharing a screen from an iPhone or iPad always counts — it has no direct path.
